 Super Sport Series
Redesign for 2008, Autotek's value Super Sport Series Subwoofers feature a black-finish carbon content, alpha-cellulose woofer cone. Our engineers chose this combination for its high strength-to-weight ratio. Using the theories set forth in “Young's Modulus", our acoustical engineers were able to predict the ultimate elongation and compression of the Super Sport subwoofer cones and design a cone material with enough strength to exceed these stress forces. This well-engineered cone designs minimize cone-mass, benefiting you with a highly efficient subwoofer design that plays loud even with smaller amplifiers. Conversely, the Super Sports Subwoofers can and do, handle big brute amplifiers.
Super Sport Cones are formed using a proprietary high-temperature forming process. The end-result is improved transient response, and added cone rigidity. The Super Sport Subwoofer Series cone design relieves the concentrated stress risers that form at the bottom of the subwoofer cone during hi-power, high-compression use, permitting the bass response of more expensive subwoofers.
