KAM Royal is a 20-year-old Washington D.C. native and honor role student at Tulane University. Rapping since fifth grade, KAM began taking his music seriously last summer. With influcences ranging from well established artists like Jay-Z, Ludacris, and Tech Nine, to today's up and comers like J Cole, Dom Kennedy, and Drake to some of the late great legends like Big L and The Notorious BIG; KAM 's material for his music stems from what he knows best, his life. In the following months KAM continued to work on new music culminating with the June 4th release of his mix tape Vindicated which quickly earned the coveted "Hot This Week" tag on datpiff.com. KAM has opened for artists including Curren$y, BIG Sean, Mac Miller, The Cool Kids, Stalley, Mickey Factz and has headlined his own shows. With his dope beats and intelligent verses, KAM is a rapper to keep your eyes on and watch as his music matures.
