Vice President: Product Development
John has been working with Alden for 20 years. His life changed when he was working an outdoor construction job during a Chicago winter; his car was broken into – again. That weekend he saw an advertisement for a technical position at a Chicago based Auto Security Company; he called on Monday and got the job and set on what would become his ultimate career path.
Joining Maxxsonics from the beginning, John says the best part of his job is bringing new and never before seen designs to market and creating products that give big bang for the buck, with sound as good as some of the best products at twice the cost.
John manages the development of Maxxsonics products during many phases. Conceptually he is imagines “what can be” and then works with the team to find ways to make it reality. John works with suppliers from around the world to assure Maxxsonics products are the best they can be, regardless of where in the world that may take him. Working the details and revisions is John’s private little paradise. You know the idiom, “the devil is in the details” – John Studley is the Maxxsonics devil and he is watching every detail.
John’s Best Piece of Gear –
In the early to mid 80’s, John bought his first audio system which was a Mitsubishi AM/FM cassette player with auto reversing cassette so you didn’t have to flip the tape over manually…how cool is that?? His Mits system was finished off with green Cricket 6 x 9 speakers in the back and a set of coax’s up front.
John’s Dream Concert –
John’s dream concert became a reality. He saw Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, 5th row, front and center at the Arie Crown Theater in downtown Chicago in the mid 70’s
