Maxxsonics Introduces Highly Reliable Hifonics Subwoofer Series
LAS VEGAS, January 5, 2006 (2006 International CES, Booth #2401)—Maxxsonics, a leading automotive audio manufacturer and distributor, announced the availability today of the Hifonics HF series of subwoofers—designed to prevent the most common subwoofer failures.
Engineered for audiophile quality, the Hifonics subwoofer features a one-piece spider-tinsel lead design to eliminate one of the most common modes of subwoofer failure—tinsel-lead breakage. In addition, the heat-dissipating Copper Clad Aluminum Wire (CCAW) voice coils disperse the left over thermal energy into the magnet and frame assembly for sonic reliability.
Hifonics dual VC and single-voice coil subwoofers are available in 10- and 12-inch round profiles and with Low-Q, Theile/Small parameters perfect for small sealed or vented enclosure designs.
Features of the Hifonics HF Subwoofer Series include:
- 700-Watts Maxximum Power Handling
- 350-Watts RMS Power Handling
- Dual 4-Ohm Voice-Coils
- For 2-Ohm and 8-Ohm Applications
- Silver Laminate Cones
- Polypropylene Dustcap
- Chrome Speaker Frames
- 40oz. Single-Stack Magnet Assemblies
- 2-inch 4-Layer Aluminum Voice-Coils
