Maxxsonics Europe Designs and Builds First Hifonics Car Speaker

January 1, 2007 - Chicago, IL.  , Maxxsonics USA Inc, the parent company of MB Quart, announced today the first production of the German built Hifonics Mercury series. “This is our first step in designing and building additional products under other brand names in our facility in Obrigheim. Germany. Hifonics is known for outstanding amplifiers and subwoofers. Now, we will enhance our speaker offering. The new Hifonics Mercury product is a testament to sound quality and high performance,” said Alden Stiefel Maxxsonics USA’s President and CEO.  

The Hifonics Mercury series consists of the MX 6, a 6 1/2” high performance coaxial design with a 19mm titanium dome tweeter, treated poly cone and an ABS basket. The MX 6C is a high performance 6 1/2” component system with a 19mm titanium dome tweeter and an external crossover with tweeter attenuation. Both systems feature extended frequency response at a dazzling 40 Hz to 30 kHz. “The product positions Hifonics as an ultimate brand for the car audio market. Now a complete system with unparalleled performance can be installed using only Hifonics components,” said Stiefel.

Handbuilt in Germany, The Mercury series has suggested retails of $249.95 for the MX 6 and $299.95 for the MX 6C. Both items will ship to channel partners in the first quarter of 2007.
