MB Quart’s Reveals Universal Reference Speaker Lineup

January 1, 2007 - Chicago, IL.  , Maxxsonics USA Inc. is proud to announcetoday the release of the all-new MB QUART Reference Universal Series of shallow-mount full-range component systems. These new Reference speakers are part of an impressive new MB QUART product introduction, the largest in the company’s long history.

The highlight design feature the new Reference Series speaker system is the super-shallow mid-bass design. Overall mounting depth is greatly reduced through the use of a front-mounted high-efficiency solid core neodymium magnet system. By placing the Reference Series speaker magnets in front of the speaker cone overall mounting depth is kept to a minimum.

Unlike the competitions shallow-mount speaker designs; MB QUART was able to use a speaker cone design with more curvature thereby allowing for the same performance levels enjoyed in our traditional mobile speakers. Typical shallow-mount speaker designs sacrifice over-all frequency response and off-axis performance because of a very shallow cone. The Reference Series speaker cone is housed in    MB-QUART’s exclusive low-resonant cast ABS composite speaker basket.

All MB Quart Reference Series speakers include MB QUART’s highly acclaimed military-grade pure titanium dome tweeter. This MB Quart designed, titanium dome tweeter has frequency response that extends well beyond the limit of human hearing, greatly improving off-axis performance, staging and imaging within the normal listening range.

Rounding out the system is a new version of the popular FleXX-Mount crossover network first introduced by MB Quart in 2006. “Reference Universal is represents a true engineering marvel.  The FleXX-mount crossover allows the installer to mount it in virtually any position through the use of it’s removable and repositionable mounting feet,” stated Maxxsonics USA President Alden Stiefel. “Our engineering team was able to put MB QUART performance in an easy to install package,” continued Stiefel. The new Reference Series speakers join over thirty new MB QUART speaker and amplifier products. Initial delivery of these new products will take place in first quarter of 2007.
