Built to fit! That was the driving force behind development of the shallow-mount Reference Series subwoofers. These subwoofers feature a unique glass-fiber composite chassis making them lighter than competitive models. The front mounted neodymium magnet decreases mounting depth by nearly 50% providing an extremely shallow-mount subwoofer.
Each of the new MB QUART Reference Series subwoofers were developed using the latest (FEA) Finite Element Analysis software ensuring the highest levels of performance available. Unlike most shallow-mount subwoofers, the MB QUART Reference Series utilizes a standard geometry woofer cone, spider assembly and rubber surround allowing for no sacrifice in sound quality or output. Traditional flat cone designs offer limited bandwidth and non-linear output.
