MB Quart’s Alexxa Home Theater Series CES Intro

Chicago, Illinois; ( Jan 1, 2008 ) Maxxsonics, parent company of MB Quart, will display their new top-line MB Quart Alexxa Series home theater loudspeakers at CES 20.  The new Alexxa Series loudspeakers became part of the largest home audio new product introduction in MB Quart’s 43-year history. The new MB Quart Alexxa Series loudspeakers are the first home theater speakers, introduced since the Maxxsonics acquisition.

The premium-grade Alexxa Series loudspeakers are the flagships of MB Quart’s new line-up.  MB Quart’s Alexxa Series features In-Room, In-Wall and In-Ceiling speaker systems.  All new Alexxa Series loudspeakers feature MB Quart’s exclusive Grade-1 titanium dome tweeters.  Leading the line-up are floor standing Alexxa speakers featuring D’ Appolito type driver configurations, all are offered in a three different cabinet finishes; Cherry, Piano Black, and Piano-White finishes.  MB Quart’s top-line floor standing tower model, the S-One, is $1249.95 each MSRP in the piano finishes and $1099.95 in Cherry.  The matching Alexxa center-channel loudspeaker, the C-One retails for $749.95 MSRP in the piano finishes or 699.95 in Cherry.  The Alexxa Series small bookshelf-sized effects speaker, model B-One has an MSRP of $649.95 in piano gloss finishes or $549.95 MSRP in Cherry Finish. 

Adding to the German engineered and designed new product line-up are two audiophile grade, BASH® powered subwoofer systems.  The largest, the SW-12 is a 12-inch acoustical suspension design powered by an integrated 350-WRMS BASH® amplifier while the 10-inch version the SW-10 is powered by a 250-Watt RMS BASH® amplifier. The SW-12 powered subwoofer will have an MSRP of $1399.95 and the SW-10 will retail for $1199.95 MSRP.

Among the new MB Quart Alexxa Series loudspeaker products offered are top-line premium performance In-Wall and In-Ceiling speaker systems. Alexxa Series In-Wall and In-Ceiling speaker’s incorporate the legendary MB Quart titanium dome tweeter technology in an aiming assembly. Both feature sealed hi-density metal back-box enclosures.  The 5-1/4” thru the 8-inch Alexxa in-ceiling speakers feature 30-degree angled baffles and dual controls for boundary compensation behind the grilles.  Special problem solving 2” and 3-inch Point Source in-ceiling speakers round-out the MB Quart Alexxa Series in-ceiling speaker line-up. 

In-Wall Alexxa speakers are D’ Appolito speaker arrays featuring pearl-white driver cosmetics behind the paint-able grille / frame assemblies.  Available in dual 5-¼”, dual 6-½  and dual 8-inch designs, the new in-wall Alexxa ALX 5.25IW is $389.95 MSRP each, the Alexxa ALX 6.25IW is $499.95 each, followed by the Alexxa 8-inch D’ Appolito in-wall speaker array, the ALX8IW at $649.95 each MSRP.  The 5-¼” thru the 8-inch Alexxa in-wall speakers also feature dual boundary compensation controls behind the grilles.
