MB Quart’s Newest Discus Speakers
Chicago, IL. Jan 1, 2008, Maxxsonics USA Inc. parent corporation of MB Quart announces new automotive speaker products released in what is to be the largest single new product launch in MB Quart’s history. This year’s introduction repeats and one-ups last year’s massive number of MB Quart branded introduction.
 Highlighting the changes in the Discus Series line up is the inclusion of MB Quart’s coveted WideSphere™ titanium inverted dome tweeter design. WideSphere™ tweeters are the result of sophisticated acoustical and computer research. WideSphere™ technology addresses the unfavorable acoustic conditions found in off-axis listening positions commonly found in car and home audio installations. MB Quart’s new tweeter technology specifically addresses and dramatically enhances this tweeter’s dispersion characteristics in all off-axis listening positions. Additional changes in the Discus lineup include a new, more efficient, easy to install, Flexxmount passive crossover network that improves the Discus Series sound quality and power handling.
This year’s Discus midrange/ midwoofer features a low-resonant glass fiber ABS blend that offers superior midbass performance. The new Discus basket is more environmentally stable and that won’t rust or become brittle. Additionally, a new precision voice-coil assembly improves the Discus series overall efficiency, midrange and bass output.
