Team Maxxsonics Announces Major 2007 Accomplishments

Chicago, IL. March 26, 2008, Maxxsonics USA is pleased to announce the appointment of Jay Thomson as their Team Maxxsonics 2008 team captain. In his role as this ambassador to the SPL and sound-quality competition sport, Jay Thomson will promote and oversee the team’s adherence to a code of good conduct by all Team Maxxsonics members during all competition events.

A former three-time dB Drag World Finalist, Jay Thomson has been a highly respected SPL event competitor since 2004. In 2006 Jay was nationally recognized in dB Drag circles by securing the 3rd Place National dB Drags Points Championship. Jay also held the “United States” record in dB Drags Street Max 1-2 class for the 2007 SPL season.

Jay, who begins his Team Maxxsonics captain role immediately, also acts as a moderator on the Team Maxxsonics website (www.teammaxxsonics.com) in addition to numerous audio and low-rider website forums. Registered Team Maxxsonics members will report all their car audio event participation statistics to Jay Thomson for tracking and compilation purposes.

As the second Team Maxxsonics captain, Jay Thomson is replacing Mike Stiers who became an integral part of Maxxsonics product development process. Jay’s devotion to car audio competitions is most evidently seen on his inked left arm. Jay’s whole left arm became the canvas for a tattooed masterpiece rendition of an Autotek MM4000 amplifier.
