30th Anniversary Ground Pounder GPV Series Subwoofers

Chicago, IL February 20, 2009 – The Anniversary Edition of the Ground Pounder GPV Subwoofer Series is now shipping from Maxxsonics. With incredible output, great sound quality and outstanding good looks these are among the finest dual voice-coil Subwoofers ever built by Crunch® USA.

This year, Crunch has taken a radical approach to the standard spider design by separating the two spiders and determining the ideal distance and position to produce maximum excursion outward and inward, while maintaining optimal control. The result is increased output SPL and durability.

The rubber surround provides long excursion while the heat-dispersing ported nickel-plated back plate and ultra-rigid stamped steel basket with a protective rubber magnet wrap ensure durability and reliability. “Everything included in this series is high-end. We used premium components including a special polypropylene cone and nickel-plated push and insert speaker terminals to keep the amps energy focused within the speaker’s core,” said Ted Henricks, Vice President Sales.

The new Ground Pounder Anniversary Series is designed for sealed and ported enclosures to maximize efficiency and produce even greater sound. The great looking cosmetics are enhanced by a one-piece cone and dust cap, which also add to the impressive power handling capabilities.
