MB Quart & Hifonics pair-up to win Spring Break Nationals Championship

April 03, 2006. Chicago, IL. Maxxsonics USA, parent company to the MB Quart & Hifonics brands congratulate Bryan Petsche of Loco Car Audio in Belvidere, Illinois, for his Championship wins at the 2006 Spring Break Nationals in Daytona, during the MECA sponsored sound quality competitions.

Bryan Petsche, owner of Loco Car Audio was crowned “Champion” aka 1st place for the Mobile Electronics Competition Association event called the “RTA Freq Out”. In this event, the vehicle must be street legal with seatbelts, seats, windshield, brakes and lights etc intact. MECA’s RTA Freq Out event pits the car audio system against the accuracy of today’s most accurate computer technology. A calibrated Real-Time Analysis meter, microphone and software program is used to determine the audio systems sound quality score, insuring no errors in this event’s sound quality judging. The car audio system must qualify for MECA SQL formats in order to compete in the RTA Freq Out event.

In addition, Petsche’s 2002 Corvette placed 2nd in the MECA SQL Modified + class and Bryan’s installation craftsmanship ranked 2nd place in the MECA Installations Modified + competition. Bryan did all the car audio system’s design and installation himself. Bryan Petsche has over ten years experience in high-end car audio applications. Bryan Petsche is the owner of Loco Car Audio. Petsche’s SQL winning philosophy was to use the highest sound quality car audio products but to minimize the numbers of components making up the total car audio system. The car audio system in Bryan’s Corvette consisted of 6-½ inch MB Quart QSD 216’s for the front audio staging and a MB Quart PCE 213 5-¼ inch speaker system for the rear fill. Dual Hifonic’s Atlas Series square AS12SQ subwoofer’s in a Bryan Petsche designed enclosure provided the super low-end bass accuracy powered by a single 2000-WRMS Hifonics Brutus Series Super D-Class Mono-Block amplifier. The Hifonics Zeus ZXi 6406 170W x 4-ch amplifier provided the power for the front and rear MB Quart speakers in the award winning Corvette installation. This is Bryan’s first year competing as a member of Team Maxxsonics.

“The Spring Break Nationals is always the premier Spring event for USA car audio competitors, a sure sign that warm weather is coming,” said John Whitacre, Marketing Director for Maxxsonics USA Inc, “Bryan’s success with Maxxsonics engineered products at the 2006 Spring Break Nationals is proof of our commitment to both Sound Quality ( SQ) and Sound Quantity (SPL).
