Rain or Shine SPLMAX Event Takes Place

Chicago, IL. May 9, 2007, Maxxsonics USA Inc. manufacturers of Hifonics, MB Quart, Autotek, Crunch consumer audio brands and sponsor of SPL sports proudly announces their sponsorship of one of the SPLMAX Cup events. This fast approaching event will be held May 12th and May13th, 2007, indoors at the Mountaineer Resort Casino in Chester, West Virginia.

SPLMAX Cup which was created and officiated by Sam Horn and Dave McLean is a points championship to determine the best Bass Racer® in the United States.  SPLMAX Cup events are held throughout the USA.  The SPL fun begins in April and ends in September, 2007 when the final SPLMAX Cup winner will be determined.  SPL competitors compete in a maximum of ten SPLMAX Cup events for points nationwide.  At the end of the season, the competitor with the most SPLMAX CUP points wins the grand SPLMAX Cup trophy, a five-foot high multimedia “electronic” trophy.  This one-of-a-kind, hand-built trophy constructed by Cameron Mitchell, features neon lighting, a video monitor, a DVD player, an amplifier, and of course custom speakers. Over eighty-hours of labor and custom fabrication went in its construction.  This grand prize trophy is capable of displaying all types of video, including DVD movies.

“We believe the SPLMAX Cup to be the fairest car audio point’s competition available” offers Mike Stiers, Product Development Specialist of Maxxsonics USA. “Unlike any other SPL points races where the more events you attend, the more points your earn, SPLMAX Cup requires you to compete in just ten shows maximum and do well in those shows. SPLMAX uses the Bass Race SPL format which is considered by many to be the most exciting SPL competition format. This bracket style SPL competition allows anyone a chance to win and this is why Maxxsonics supports it”, adds Stiers.  

On opening day of SPLMAX Cup pre-registration over fifty competitors signed-up for the Chester, West Virginia SPLMAX Cup event. Based on its 2006 event totals, over one-hundred SPL competitors and their decked-out SPL vehicles are expected. Rain or shine participants and attendees will experience multiple 3X dB Drag events and Bass Race events indoors at the Mountaineer Resort Casino over this Mother’s Day weekend. Maxxsonics sponsored Bass Race trophies, thirty-six trophies in all for 1st Place through 3rd Place in each respective SPL class at this Steel Valley area event.
