Maxxsonics MM.1 Has New Approach to iPod®

June 7, 2006 – Chicago, IL. – Maxxsonics USA Inc. announces a new and different approach to the iPod® accessories category. The new MM-1 is the quick and easy solution for playing an iPod® through one’s aftermarket car audio system without giving up any audio fidelity. Many iPod® gadgets are getting to be “a dime a dozen”, and all too often they're just not very good sounding. Many are simply too complicated to use safely while driving. That is not the case with Maxxsonics new iPod® interface adaptor, the MM-1. This $99.95 iPod® interface system zero’s-in on the excellence sweet spot for a “Fresh-Out-Of-Box” experience and ease-of-use. Maxxsonics dealers were instrumental in targeting the many features for this new iPod® to amplifier accessory. The MM-1 iPod® interface will be available to all Maxxsonics brands dealers including Autotek, Hifonics, Crunch and MB Quart.

iPod® is the registered trademark of Apple Computer®, which is not affiliated with this product. Maxxsonics is not an agent or affiliated in any way with Apple Computer Inc. - $99.95 MSRP

Maxxsonics MM-1 capitalizes on the iPod®’s strongest quality in being a very simple audio interface device. An MM-1 can be connected to any aftermarket car audio system that’s using an outboard amplifier. The diminutive MM-1 iPod® adaptor kit consists of three parts: (1) A slightly bigger than matchbox-sized Control Head with it’s blue backlit Volume Control Knob and a standard 1/8th-inch input jack. (2) Next is a hideaway Control Module that hides under or inside the dash and connects the whole iPod® MM-1 interface between your car audio receiver via a direct connection and any add-on amplifier. Top-most fidelity is insured here, because “No” FM-Modulated or Bluetooth Devices are in the audio signal path degrading the sound. (3) Last is Part Three, the included cables for the Control Head and the mini-plug connection cable to the iPod® headphone socket. For an added benefit, the MM-1’s control head’s standard 1/8th-inch / 3.5mm input jack can be used to connect any other source device like a standalone satellite radios, another brand of MP3 player or a portable DVD player. When an iPod®’s not connected to the min-jack, the MM-1 defaults to the indash radio as its’ primary source. An MM-1 audio interface creates a “Direct to Amp” input complete with it own independent volume control. Maxxsonics MM-1 becomes the secondary direct input center when no other available input exists in the aftermarket car audio system.

Audiophiles will appreciate Maxxsonics MM-1quality design. Electrical noise is prevented from entering the audio signal path by the MM-1’s full differential inputs. High-definition sound is ensured by the MM-1’s ultra-wide frequency response of 10Hz to 37Hz so that any music within the human hearing range is reproduced flawlessly. MM-1’s THD measures below 00.03% guaranteeing the original audio signal remains 100% true to the original recording. With a stellar 98dB Signal to Noise Ratio, the MM-1 keeps all those quiet passages in the music and between the songs, perfectly silent.
