MAXXSONICS SIGNS MIKE STIERS TO PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT/TECHNICAL SUPPORT

June 1, 2006 – Lake Zurich, IL. Maxxsonics USA has signed Team Maxxsonics Captain and world-record SPL holder, Mike Stiers to the position of “Product Development Specialist” for its growing technical services department.

“Mike, who begins the new role in mid-May, will oversee the dealers’ and end-users’ needs for technical information and support with MB Quart, Hifonics, Autotek and Crunch USA mobile audio products. Mike Stiers will be an integral part in all stages of the product development process” said Vice-President of Global Product Development, John Studley. Stiers’ concentration will be on product development & technical support needs.

Mike Stiers is well-known as a world class competitor in the lanes of dB Drag, USACi and MECA. Stiers has successfully competed in and has set multiple world records, held by these organizations. Hailing from Columbus, Ohio, Mike competed as part of the infamous Team Livewire and last year was chosen as Team Maxxsonic’s first Team Captain. Mike was instrumental in assembling this highly success SPL and SQ competition team, who, in their first year out, set eight world SPL records, and won a combined 224 awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places during these competitions. Amazingly, 145 of these coveted SPL competition awards were for 1st place finishes.

Stiers is the proud owner of the Worlds Loudest Dodge Neon, sporting 8-kilowatts of Maxxsonics Autotek MM 4000.1D power. Attesting to the highly efficient nature of the Autotek Super D-Class amplifiers, Mike obtained the incredible record of 153.6 dB SPL (with all the equipment in the tiny Neon’s trunk) using dual Autotek MM 4000.1D’s powering a pair of 12-inch subwoofers. All this mega-watt gear was running from a single 12-volt car battery! So far in 2006, Mike holds the World Record in dB Drags’ “World’s Loudest Bass Race” vehicle with an SPL of 158.3dB.

Mike Stiers brings half a decade of tech-support experience from Lucent Technologies. Before assuming this new Maxxsonics position, Stiers created technology based solutions for Eddie Bauer Holdings Inc’s (EBHC.PK), in Customer Relations and administered their Corporate Asset Retention curriculum. For the last 4-years he was part of the management team with retailer Eddie Bauer.

Stier’s first task will be to boost Maxxsonics focus in Customer Technical Services, and create a “Job-One” dominance in Maxxsonics performance for customer support in the very competitive Mobile Audio marketplace. In addition, Mike Stiers will bring a wealth of high-power amplification experience to the product development team. Mike Stiers will report directly to the Vice President of Global Product Development, John Studley.
