News Big Fun and Generous Charity Support at Maxxsonics® Car Audio Showdown Chicago, IL August 10, 2009 – With final results posted, this year's Maxxsonics Car Audio Showdown brought in over 300 attendees with approximately 40 dB Drag, Bass Race and USACi competitors each day. The event had something for everyone including a variety of tricked out vehicles mixed in with competition cars that lined up far beyond the Maxxsonics headquarters extensive parking lot. Even the Cheap Trick Truck made an appearance with the Rock Band game in tow, which provided great entertainment for all ages. In addition, people found outstanding deals at the factory direct sale based on the stacks of amplifiers, speakers, subwoofers and accessories they carried back to their cars. The event was a total of three days with competition held over the sun-filled weekend of July 25 and 26th. Judges from Extreme Sound Productions handed out trophies to winning competitors at the end of both days, while lucky raffle prize winners took home $7500 worth of merchandise donated by Maxxsonics and co-sponsors Kinetik and Second Skin. Best in Show winner, Jake Ballard, gladly accepted a Hifonics Brutus BXI610 Amplifier (MSRP $450) for his outstanding attitude and representation of his sponsors along with his incredible score from a standard car. Randy Kubek, who made the trip from Maryland, was elated to receive a Hifonics BXI2010D Amplifier valued at $1000 for the Longest Distance traveled. The fun continued on Monday with a golf outing at a nearby 18-hole course. "We hope that by example, this will encourage our Dealers to host similar events. Everyone pulled together and in the end we were able to accomplish something memorable and fun while raising a substantial amount of money for charity," said Maxxsonics' President, Alden Stiefel. Due to the huge support from raffle proceeds and donations, the event collected thousands of dollars for Breast Cancer charity. "Thanks to our co-sponsors, we were able to offer great prizes that had incredible value. We really appreciate the generosity of all the people who came to the event and helped support such a worthy cause," concluded Stiefel.
