New Look For MM Autotek Subwoofers

Chicago, IL - Maxxsonics proudly announces the release of the new Mean Machine illuminated subwoofer line-up! The new Autotek Mean Machine Subwoofer Series also boast a unique illuminated protective grille bar.

"Our new Autotek Mean Machine Subwoofers project a warm blue glow via the backlit opaque woven glass-fiber speaker cones," explained John Studley, Director of Maxxsonics Product Development. Studley adds, "The Mean Machine subs feature Low-Q drivers parameters for small speaker enclosures, white chrome frames, 100oz magnet assemblies and 4-layer Hi-Temp Dual Voice-Coils. The full cone illumination makes the Autotek Mean Machine Subwoofers incredible to see. Keep in mind these woofers are capable of outstanding bass performance. My goal was to develop a subwoofer design with extreme product quality & craftsmanship yet make the grade cosmetically for our new Autotek brand."

Mean Machine Subwoofer Design

All Mean Machine Series Subwoofers offer a 1-inch tall rubber surround, translucent woven glass-fiber cones, nickel-plated push & insert terminals and massive motor assemblies with 6-1/4lb. double-stacked magnets. The Mean Machine rubber surround allows for huge excursions with the glass-fiber cones to provide extra-deep bass with impact in small sealed or ported boxes. Four models of the Mean Machine subwoofers are available in dual 2-Ohm and dual 4-Ohm voice-coils configuration. The 15-inch model, MM15D2 is available solely in a dual 2-Ohm VC version. Standard equipment is the unique illuminated "grille bar" positioned in front of the subwoofer cone for all the new Mean Machine Subwoofers.

The 12" round version of the Mean Machine Subwoofer utilizes a 600-Watt 2.5" Hi-temp voice-coil and the Mean Machine 12" square version boosts a 900-Watt 3-inch voice-coil. The 12" square Mean Machine subwoofer has a twin brother in a dual 4-Ohm voice-coil version. All new Autotek Mean Machine Subwoofers utilize a Nomex one-piece spider tinsel-lead assembly to combat tinsel-lead failure at high volume levels.
