Newest Crunch A/B-Class SQ Amps

Chicago, IL. – Crunch USA announces a new family of auto amplifiers dubbed the Ground Pounder. Crunch dealers were instrumental in targeting the new feature sets for the Ground Pounder A/B -Class amplifiers.

Maxxsonics, parent to Crunch, presented the new "fab-four" of Ground Pounder A/B-Class™ high-performance car amplifiers at the 2005CES (booth #4028). The Ground Pounder amplifier introduction continues the Crunch tradition as a manufacturer of high-value car audio. The four new models span power levels from 440-Watts x 2 to 1600-Watts x 1 with audiophile sound quality, hi-power at value prices, integrated electronic crossovers, and large digital VU meters, key features for any serious car audio system. The four new 2005 Ground Pounder amp models are to be available to dealers shortly after CES2005. The 2005 Ground Pounder models will include removable end caps to cover all connections at each end of the Ground Pounder amplifiers.

"The Ground Pounder amplifiers are just one of dozens of new product additions to the Crunch USA line-up," boosts Ted Henricks, Maxxsonics Vice-President of Sales and Marketing. "Crunch dealers ended 2004 on a welcome growth spurt and clearly indicated they were ready to make more space on their shelves for Crunch products," adds Henricks. In addition, Henricks offered "Crunch dealers find security in the fact that Maxxsonics, parent of Crunch, is focused on the sound reproduction portion of the auto sound business, in-turn making car audio products that fit the needs of the end-user more closely than other suppliers".

Ground Pounder GP1100.2
MSRP $359.95

Illuminated digital VU meters are an obvious feature on all Crunch Ground Pounder amplifiers. The new Ground Pounder amp line-up incorporate a large digital meter flanked by robust convection cooling vents in the heat sink. The Crunch logo and Ground Pounder artwork adorn the top of the GP heat sinks. 2-Ohm stability is featured in the multi-channel Ground Pounder amp models while the largest wattage model; the GP1600.1 is a 1-Ohm stable mono-block design with a MOSFET Dual Core power supply design. The Ground Pounder amps offer extensive audio signal control with their integral electronic crossover networks. Ground Pounder Hi-Pass crossovers offer a 12db slope while Ground Pounder Low-Pass crossovers use a much steeper 24dB per octave slope to precisely control the subwoofer as it approaches subsonic levels. The Crunch hi-speed A/B-Class amplifier topography results in audiophile sound quality at an affordable price. The matched A/B-Class MOSFET output devices is what makes the sonic difference in Crunch A/B-Class amplifiers versus amplifiers offered by other car audio manufacturers.

The flagship 1600-Watt mono-block Ground Pounder GP1600.1 has an MSRP of $449.95, the 550-Watt x 2-Ch Ground Pounder GP1100.2 follows with an MSRP of $359.95. The 220-Watt x 4-Ch, Ground Pounder GP880.4 has an MSRP of $339.95, and the 350-Watt x 4-Ch Ground Pounder GP1400.4 has an MSRP of $499.95.
