Hifonics New Super D-Class™ Brutes

Chicago, IL. – Hifonics announces the new family of 2005 Brutus Super D-Class™ subwoofer amplifiers. Dealers have nicknamed Hifonics "King of the D-Class Amplifiers and the newest Brutus amp line-up is well-suited to continue this amp technology legacy.

Maxxsonics parent to Hifonics debuts the new quartet of Brutus Super D-Class™ high-performance car amplifiers at the 2005 CES (booth #4028). The Brutus amplifier introduction signals Hifonics 21st year as a manufacturer of premium car audio. The four new mono-block models range in power levels from 600-Watts x 1 to 2000-Watts x 1 with improved sound quality, affordable hi-power, head-turning cosmetics, custom crossovers, and more control making them a perfect addition for any serious audio system. These new 2005 Brutus amp models will ship to dealers shortly after the 2005 CES event. The 2005 Brutus models will include dash mountable remote bass controls, which connect to the amplifiers via an RJ-45 style jack & cable.

"The new Brutus amplifiers are a shining example of value and performance in a line of subwoofer amplifiers," explains Alden Stiefel, Maxxsonics USA, Inc. CEO & President. "Hifonics Super D-Class technology combines the finest components available and sets the standard for ultra-high performance, 1-Ohm Stable high-output amplifiers." adds John Studley, Maxxsonics Director of Product Development.

Brutus BX2005D
MSRP $999.95

Illumination is an apparent feature in all new 2005 Hifonics products and the new Brutus amp line-up sports a large glowing Hifonics logo embedded in the top of the heat-sinks. 1-Ohm stability is ensured by the PWM power supply, which is precisely controlled by the hi-speed microprocessor at the heart of the Super D-Class™ design. Slower power supply control circuits, result in power loss and performance, in-turn sonically limit conventional D-Class amplifiers. Super D-Class™ is a high-speed digital domain control circuit that overcomes the previous limitations of digital switching power supply based audio amplifiers. Super D-Class™ differentiates Hifonics D-Class amplifiers from all other amplifiers on the market.

The flagship Super D-Class Brutus BX2005D has an MSRP of $999.95 followed by the 1600-Watt x 1-Ch Brutus BX 1605D with an MSRP of $849.95. Hifonics 1200-Watt x 1-Ch Brutus model BX 1205D's MSRP is $749.95, and the 600-Watt x 1-Ch Brutus model BX 605 has an MSRP of $499.95. All Brutus amplifiers are 1-Ohm stable and feature fully adjustable electronics crossover networks.
