Maxxsonics Buys Autotek

Maxxsonics record-breaking growth in the Mobile Electronics Market continues with the Autotek acquisition.

Chicago, IL. - Maxxsonics proudly announced today its acquisition of Autotek, the Burlingame, California based car audio brand specializing in supplying independent retailers. This adds to the current family of Maxxsonics brand's, which includes the Crunch USA and Hifonics names.

The acquisition announcement was made today by Maxxsonics President Alden Stiefel and Sid Schieber, CEO of Autotek. "Maxxsonics is one of the most supportive suppliers in the auto sound industry," said Sid Schieber. "We are pleased that the existing Autotek dealer base and end users will be serviced with the same degree of integrity and care they have enjoyed for the past 27-years with Autotek. Maxxsonics will bring its award winning product development skills to Autotek and the first new products can be seen at the 2005 CES in Las Vegas at the Autotek booth #2413. Maxxsonics has the same goals I followed since starting Autotek in 1977: Offer the highest value merchandise at a fair price with the latest in technology, make it "best of class", and completely satisfy the customer", Schieber added.

Autotek will show literally dozens of new 2005 products at the Consumer Electronics Show. Among the new Autotek products will be significant additions to the existing Mean Machine and Super Sport amplifiers and speaker families.

Maxxsonics plans to continue taking a niche position in the consumer electronics industry, by applying their cohesive management and product teams to deliver top-notch products and sale programs with the Autotek brand. Maxxsonics' 2005 business plan includes an aggressive marketing program consisting of consumer advertising, a web-site overhaul, and informative sale support and sell-through materials.

Autotek dealers will have the opportunity to meet the Maxxsonics management team at the Las Vegas, 2005 CES. "Autotek dealers will see our management team has over 120-years of combined experience in the consumer electronics industry. We are dedicated veterans of well-known brands such as Clifford, K40, MaxiGuard, Klipsch, Blaupunkt, Avital, Bang & Olufsen & Zenith. Even though Maxxsonics was established in 2001, we're not really a new company at all," states Alden Stiefel. Alden continues, "We will enhance Autotek's on-going promotion to independent retailers world wide. Now, the independent specialist can be "Powered by Maxxsonics" with a brand name that is respected, and of the highest quality. We plan to grow the brand and supply retailers with an alternative to widely known products that can be found on every street corner

Alden Stiefel's background involves twenty-three years of consumer electronics sales with a focus on products in the 12- volt category. After his position as the Executive Vice-President of Global Sales and Marketing for Clifford Electronics, Alden started Avital Technologies from the ground up and served as its President. Before starting Maxxsonics, Alden was President of API, which marketed the Crunch USA and Hifonics brands.

Maxxsonics is a leader in mobile audio manufacturing and distribution of Hifonics, Autotek and Crunch sound component systems and creator of the 2005 CES Innovations Design & Engineering award winning Maxxblaster 2.1 audio / PC gaming system.
