Hifonics Colossus Is Welcomed Back to 2005 dBDrags
Chicago, IL - Maxxsonics USA, the auto-sound parent and manufacturer of Crunch and Hifonics mobile audio sound systems is pleased to announce that its Hifonics 3200-Watt RMS XX-Colossus is permitted for competition in the 2005 dB-Drag events held in the USA and world-wide. Maxxsonics parent of the Hifonics brand had launched a formal protest to dB-Drags immediately after that organization's finals in November 2004, when contestants using the Hifonics XX Colossus were denied competing just hours before the event was to begin.
Wayne Harris, dB Drag's founder, announced its intention to clarify it's 2005 dB Drag rules to Maxxsonics during an informal meeting at the 2005 Consumer Electronics Show, held earlier this month. The 2004 dB Drag Rules and Regulations are to be clarified for the 2005 season, and dB Drag judges will be seeing/welcoming the Hifonics XX Colossus along with it's new 5000-Watts & 10,000-Watts big brothers, the Goliath & Maxximus.
"We, Maxxsonics were saddened by dB Drag's decision at the 2004 final in Nashville. We did not want our Hifonics competitors to be turned-off by sound-off events because of this unfortunate situation. dB-Drag's long-term commitment to the auto-sound industry was obvious, so Maxxsonics decided to address the unfortunate dB-Drag decision, with hardcore facts, technical information, patience and a tiny dose of peer pressure", stated Ted Henricks, Maxxsonics Vice-President of Sales & Marketing.
Ted Henricks continued, "Sales of Colossus actually increased immediately after the dB Drags, the opposite of conventional logic. It seems our retailers, capitalized on the outlawed, bad-boy image of Colosuss. Non-competitors liked the concept that they could own an outlawed car audio amplifier that had won many SPL contests."
For 2005, the 3200-Watt Colossus, will be joined by two more Ultra D-Class amplifier giants, the 5kW / 5000-Watt RMS Goliath and the monstrous 10kW / 10,000-Watt RMS Maxximus. Both the Goliath & Maxximus will be available in March of 2005 with a MSRP of " One dollar a Watt", that's $5000 & $10,000 respectfully.
Maxxsonics is a leader in mobile audio manufacturing and distribution of Hifonics, Autotek and Crunch sound component systems and creator of the 2005 CES Innovations Design & Engineering "award winning" Maxxblaster 2.1 audio / PC gaming system.
