25 years and The Legend Lives On

For 2008, the Zeus ZXi amplifier line-up is positioned as an upscale amplifier product series, with the “Best in Class” features ever packed into a “sound quality” car audio amplifier line-up. The new ZXi Series utilizes Maxxsonics hi-efficiency amp technology similar to the flagship XXV-Series Ultra A/B Class models.

Our newest anniversary design sports an illuminated Hifonics logo and an array of blue LEDs that stream
light across the amplifier so your installations show off the finest in audio equipment.

A major benefit of the 2008 Zeus ZXI Series amplifiers is the cosmetic match they provide to the massively powerful big mono-block amplifiers found in the 2008 BXi Brutus Series. Plus the 2008 Zeus ZXi series exploit the major advantages of metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors (MOSFET’s) in their Pulse Wave Modulated (PWM) step-up voltage power supply sections. Design-wise the ZXi MOSFET’s act as voltage controlled digital switches, thereby lowering the amplifiers thirst for massive amounts of battery Amperage.

The ZXi digital power supplies maintain overall stability and add further ruggedness due to their Dual-Core torroidal transformer design. Dual Core power supplies are used in all Zeus amplifier models.

Hifonics 2008 ZXi Series power output is realistically rated across the battery voltage ranges commonly found in a healthy every-day-driver vehicle with voltages ranging from (12.5 volts DC to 14.4 Volts DC). Expect all Zeus ZXi amplifiers under 1400-watts to perform well on the stock OEM battery and alternator charging system.

When using multiple car audio amplifiers with a combined wattage above 1500-Watts don’t forget the benefits of a “larger than stock” car battery. If there are doubts about your vehicle’s charging system capacity, check the vehicles manual. If you have eyes for the large wattage 2008 Zeus ZXi and Brutus BXi amp combinations (over 1500-Wrms in total), be smart and check under your car’s hood to verify that the current battery size matches the task at hand. If not, proceed to buy an upgraded hi-output battery package and make more money.

No Silly Features. All Zeus ZXI-Series amps include adjustable Hi-Pass (10Hz up to 150 Hz) & adjustable Low-Pass (150Hz down to 30Hz) low-distortion active crossovers. The 12dB slope on these precision audio filters permit fast and easy fine-tuning to any coaxial or component speaker system. All Zeus ZXi two and four-channel amplifiers when bridged, offer a steep -24dB slope variable Low-Pass function.

All Zeus ZXi two and four-channel amplifiers are Bridgeable for system add-ons. System expansion can be as easy as bridging the 2 or 4-ch amp. Just use a short RCA cable from the dual/stereo RCA daisy-chaining pass-thru outputs to add another amp. Finish by adding B+, Ground and Remote-On wiring. The RCA preamp level output feature eliminates the clutter of Y-Cables and adapters.
